Announcements
MIDTERM EXAM will be held on July 20, 2026, Monday at 15:30(Duration:100 minutes). Exam covers the topics from CH 1(included) to CH 5(included).
Exam Places are HA01,HA03,HA04 and HA05. Exam Places(according to SURNAMES) and seating plan for each class will be announced at 15:15 on corresponding class doors before the exam. Check your class and your desk at your class immediately. Proctors will help you to find your desk in the class.
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR FOR THE EXAM. ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT( Smartphone, smart watch etc. ) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED DURING THE EXAM.
Students have to bring their Student Identity Cards with visible profile photo on it for exam attendance. If your profile photo is not visible on your student ID card, you should also bring citizenship ID card.
Online Lecture Sessions for July 13,14,16,17 at 19:00(Click the link). Attendance button for Online Lecture Sessions is avaliable on the webonline. Click the button and Mark the P (Present) button when the course session started.
Lectures on July 6-10 week will not be held due to NATO Summit Holiday. For this; Make up(additional) lectures(ONLINE) will be held on July 13-17 week(between 19:00-21:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) in addition to usual face to face lectures. ONLINE course link and attendance button will be avaliable on July 13, Monday.
NEXT LABORATORY SESSION will be held on July 16, Thursday 2026 between 13:20 - 15:10.

Quizzes will be held on Thursdays (online) via webonline between 21:30 - 21:50. You will have 15 minutes to complete your quiz session. There will be two questions in each quiz. Use your scientific calculator to reach the correct answer. Quiz will be graded out of 100 points(50 points for each question). You can see schedule of quizzes on the course website - Syllabus.
You will have only one attempt for the quizzes which will be graded!
Laboratories will be held at H-304 (Phys131 Lab).
There will be laboratory beginning from the first week.

You can get your PHYS131 laboratory manual form PHOTOCOPY OFFICE in common area on the campus.
80 % attendance for laboratory work are compulsory.
60 % attendance for theoretical lectures are compulsory.
